Bird Design Studio is a residential design practice focused on providing thoughtful architectural design for custom homes, cottages, and small-scale residential projects. The practice guides clients from early concepts through permit-ready drawings, creating designs that are timeless, tailored to their setting, and buildable.

Bird Design Studio is led by Cassie Harris, a BCIN-certified designer with a diploma in Architectural Technology and an accredited member of the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO). Founded in 2015, the practice reflects a hands-on, design-led approach shaped by Cassie’s background in carpentry and experience working alongside high-end builders and designers.

Cassie works closely with clients, consultants, builders, and municipalities throughout the design process, balancing creativity with practicality. Her work emphasizes clear planning, strong proportions, and natural materials to create spaces that are both functional and inspiring.

At its core, the practice prioritizes listening. Every design begins with understanding the client’s lifestyle, needs, and vision—resulting in homes that feel personal, grounded, and timeless.
